What is a Hudson River Valley Greenway?
The Hudson River Valley Greenway Program is a voluntary regional initiative that works to preserve and enhance the region’s ecological, scenic, cultural, historic, agricultural, and recreational treasures (Hudson River Valley Greenway (linked)). The Greenway assists local community planning and programing, and it is a source for supporting the enhancement of the network of recreational trails. The Greenway planning approach is one of thinking regionally as communities plan locally.
